Request from Australian Society for Indigenous Languages

I am writing to ask if TPTL would be interested in a project in the Torres Strait. In July next year, we hope to have a big Scripture launch with
reprints of Scripture in the two traditional languages, plus the dedication of the Mini Bible in Yumplatok (also called Torres Strait Creole). I think it would be strategic if TPTL has pocket size Gospel of John for distribution at that time. Placing John’s Gospel in the hands of the people will not only raise the awareness that Torres Strait Scriptures are now available but also encourage people to seek Scripture in other Torres Strait languages.

We thank you again for the reprints of Tetun Dili Mark. That small book continues to be eagerly received in East Timor.
